Resently,the first model 6S50ME-B driving-by-wire marine diesel engine of the world was tested in CSIC of Dalian Heavy Industry Marine Diesel LTD Compamy. It is the largest-bore of ME-B driving-by-wire marine main engine. And that marks that CISC heavy industry  marine  fabrication technique level and buliding capability has reached a high and new level.
        The bore of main engine is 500 milimeters,the power per cylinder 1600kw,and total power 9960kw. It adopts the up-to-date technology which is controlled by computers completely and convinent to operate. The total running parameters performance up to the best. It realizes remote controlling and unattended operation for 24 hours. It has more advantages than the equivalent rank marine in the aspect of propulsive power. This marine has two operating methods that are emission mode and economical mode which are all complied with the latest emission standard of International Maritime Organization. It is also praised as environmental type main engine. At the same time the economic performance of marine has be promoted very well and the best level of fuel consumption is 170g per hp hour. This main engine could save more than 1 milion dollars for the ship-owner in a life cycle compared to the main engine of the same power but different model. The most economical,the safest and the most environmental performances promotes a good market prospect.
        The main engine will be sent to Guangzhou and be prepared to install in the 50 thousand-tons chemical or other product marine as the main power source. In order to build the marine as soon as possible,Dalian company has invested more than 100 milion dollars in developing.
